Seo Ye-ji Posts Cryptic Message on SNS: “Don’t Treat Me Carelessly Just Because I Pretend To Be Fine”
On April 15, actress Seo Ye-ji posted a photo to her personal social media account without any caption. In the newly released image, she is seen wrapped in someone’s embrace, smiling brightly. Her striking beauty is once again in the spotlight.
Just a day earlier, on April 14, actress Seo Ye-ji drew attention by posting a cryptic message on her social media, writing, “Don’t treat me carelessly just because I pretend to be fine,” indirectly expressing her emotional state.
This comes just two days after Seo Ye-ji made a bold return to the spotlight through her guest appearance on SNL Korea Season 7 via Coupang Play.
She directly addressed her past controversies with humor and self-awareness. In the opening, she joked, “I’m going to gaslight the SNL crew into making this fun,” referencing the gaslighting scandal that previously engulfed her. Host Shin Dong-yup playfully responded, “Right, gaslighting is your hobby and specialty—I almost forgot,” drawing laughter from the cast.
In the “Seo Ye-GPT” segment, Seo Ye-ji portrayed an AI version of herself. When the character Kim Won-hoon faced criticism despite a successful presentation aided by her AI, Seo Ye-ji’s character remarked, “What’s really embarrassing is sitting there in silence while others talk behind your back. It’s so unfair—I’ve been through it a lot too,” hinting at her own experiences.
In another skit titled “Eve’s Hair Salon,” she played a salon director. When Kim Won-hoon commented that the back of his neck felt stiff, Seo Ye-ji momentarily froze before firmly replying, “It’s just firm,” poking fun at her past nickname “Kim Ttak-ttak” (which referenced her allegedly controlling behavior).
Seo Ye-ji also previously addressed rumors linking her romantically to actor Kim Soo-hyun and his cousin. On her fan café last month, she wrote, “I’m human too—this is all so overwhelming, exhausting, suffocating, and heartbreaking. I’m enduring and enduring again.” She added firmly, “I have no relationship whatsoever with him or his cousin,” denying the rumors.
Seo Ye-ji’s name became a hot topic in 2021 after she was accused of gaslighting actor Kim Jung-hyun during a past drama shoot. Leaked text exchanges suggested she pressured him to avoid physical contact with female co-stars, sparking widespread controversy.
With her recent appearance on SNL Korea and emotionally charged social media post, Seo Ye-ji appears to be confronting her past head-on while unveiling a new, more candid version of herself.
